Wells REIT II Buys Atlanta Office Campus in AT&T Sale-Leaseback

Wells REIT II has acquired a five-building, 1 million-square-foot office campus in the Buckhead submarket of Atlanta, through a long-term sale-leaseback with AT&T. The campus will headquarter AT&T Wireless' operations in the city. The transaction's terms were not disclosed.

Intercontinental Real Estate Corp. has acquired Lakeside Commons, a 514,000-square-foot, Class A office complex in Atlanta’s Central Perimeter submarket, for $102.8 million. It is at least the third office acquisition made through Intercontinental’s U.S. Real Estate Investment Fund, L.L.C., in recent weeks.

Somera Capital Management L.L.C., a Santa Barbara, Calif.-based private equity real estate investment company, has entered into a joint venture with Irvine, Calif.-based Aslan Realty Group to acquire Legacy Key, a 350-unit garden-style apartment community in the Sandy Springs area of Atlanta. The property was purchased for $28 million from Kings Dunwoody Springs Apartments L.L.C.
CRB Realty to Develop Midtown Atlanta Property

CRB Realty will develop a new mixed-use highrise in Midtown Atlanta on land currently owned by Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. Recently the church agreed to sell a portion of its land holdings to the developer, with the stipulation that the existing church structures be part of a master plan for the overall development, so that the new development doesn't clash with the existing properties.
