An explosion at the site of a hotel under construction in San Diego has injured 14, according to the San Diego Business Journal. The massive blast occurred Monday at the site of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel, a 1,190-room building currently under construction.

The damage included blown-out glass as well as pipes hanging out of windows. However, fire officials said that an initial inspection did not indicate any structural damage. According to the Business Journal, the hotel's fourth through seventh floors were affected by the blast, which was apparently a gas leak.
