68,000SF San Diego Shopping Center Finds Canadian Owner
Aug 1, 2008

Ownership of a 68,000-square-foot grocery-anchored shopping center five miles from San Diego in National City has changed hands. Tiburon, Calif.-based National Properties VII L.L.C. sold the 26-year-old retail asset to Amir Khalifi of Vancouver, B.C., who also assumed an existing CMBS loan with a 5.23 percent interest rate. Renovated four years ago, the fully leased shopping center occupies an approximately seven-acre parcel at the intersection of Plaza Blvd. and Euclid Ave., and counts Ralphs grocery store and Walgreens drugstore as anchors. Hanley Investment Group Real Estate Advisors marketed the property and represented the buyer and the seller in the transaction.
