University Takes 48,300 SF of Biotech Space in San Diego

A 48,200-square-foot biotech research building at 3525 John Jay Hopkins Court in San Diego has just been leased by the University of California San Diego. Developed in 1991 and located in the city's Torrey Pines submarket, the property was formerly home to Schering Plough. The university will utilize the two-story building for a bevy of its research divisions. Grubb and Ellis|BRE Commercial represented both UCSD and building owner Del Mar Partnership, in the 10-year lease.
