A hotelier wants to build a 17-story hotel and condo tower at the site of a former Burger King in downtown Denver, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Ranko Mocevic, the president of Hotel Gold Crown Champa LLC, is planning to open the 264-hotel-room, 12-condo tower by 2010.

The nearby 41-story, $175 million Spire condo project is nearby, under construction at 891 14th Street. An urban planner told the Rocky Mountain News that the former Burger King site has been underused, hosting only a parking lot and modest restaurants.
