Hyatt Regency Orange County Finds New Owner
Nov 4, 2008

Ownership of the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove, Calif., changes hands as Inland American Lodging Advisor Inc. acquires the 654-room hotel from Ashford Hospitality Trust. The 17-story property, which has undergone an aggregate $48 million in upgrades and expansions over the last seven years, occupies a 13-acre parcel at 11999 Harbor Blvd., just three blocks from Disneyland and a half-mile from the Anaheim GardenWalk, an upscale 500,000-square-foot lifestyle entertainment center being developed by Excel Realty. Molinaro Koger marketed the property, which garnered international attention, drawing in hopeful investors with its ongoing RevPAR growth and a location in a thriving hospitality market. The hotel will continue to carry the Hyatt Regency flag, and will be managed by Global Hyatt Corp. under a long-term agreement.
