Embraer has wrapped up development of its new 47,700-square-foot executive jet service center at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa, Ariz. The Sao Jose Dos Campos, Brazil-headquartered aircraft manufacturer's new facility encompasses a hangar, workshops and office space. Embraer spent $10 million to complete the service center and partnered with the State of Arizona, the City of Mesa and the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority on the project. Chase Construction handled building activities, while Barge Waggoner Summer & Cannon Inc. served as the architect. By the close of the year, Embraer will have four wholly-owned service centers in the U.S. The company plans to break ground on p rojects at airports in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Windsor Locks, Conn.
