Finger Cos. Breaks Ground on Houston High-Rise
July 15, 2008

The topping out of the first luxury high rise rental apartment tower in downtown Houston in more than 40 years was celebrated today with 700 construction workers and invited guests, including Houston’s Mayor Bill White, in attendance. Developed by Finger Cos., the 37-story One Park Place in Houston, Tex., will have 346 rental residences, 12 on each floor, adjacent to the 12-acre Discovery Green, the new downtown park. Occupancy is expected to start in March 2009.  The leasing office and models will open in the fall. The property is the second high-rise project for Finger Cos.  Its first high-rise, in Houston’s Museum District, the 12-story Museum Tower, also with residences for rent, opened in 2002.
