48,000-SF Houston-Area Medical Office Building Pre-Leased

The 48,000-square-foot medical office structure that will rise up at 253 Medical Center Blvd. in Webster, Tex., has been just been claimed by IDEV Technologies Inc. The company signed a lease with property developer Jacob White Construction Co. to occupy the entire Class A building, which is a companion to the one-year-old, 48,000-square-foot building at 251 Medical Center. Construction commenced this month on IDEV"s new home, located 20 miles south of Houston, and is on target to reach completion in August 2009. Like its twin, the high performance facility isdesigned to achieve LEED Gold certification. Sporting a green roof and other sustainable design elements 253 Medical Center will allow for 40 to 50 percent lower operating costs.
