Brickell Financial Centre Signs Bilzin Sumberg

Brickell Financial Centre signed law firm Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod L.L.P. to a 10-year lease in its phase one tower. The mixed-use green development is a 1.5 million-square-foot, two-phase project. It is bringing more than 1 million square feet of Class A office space, a five-star hotel, more than 30,000 square feet of high-end retail and a newly landscaped plaza to Miami’s financial corridor. Bilzin Sumberg’s 115,000-square-foot lease is a 30,000 square-foot expansion for the firm. The deal is the largest lease agreements signed in the Downtown Miami/Brickell office market this year. Danet Linares of the Foram Group handled the transaction on behalf of the landlord. Barbara Liberatore Black and Matthew Goodman of CRESA Partners represented the tenant. Janis Cheezem of Akerman Senterfitt was the attorney representing the landlord in this transaction and John Kuhn from Bilzin Sumberg represented the law firm.
