120,000-SF NW Georgia Science Museum on Target to Open in January

Construction of Tellus: Northwest Georgia Science Museum in Cartersville, Ga., is on schedule to reach completion in time for an opening on January 12 of next year. Located off I-75 about 40 miles northwest of Atlanta, Tellus is designed to replace the 9,000-square-foot William Weinman Mineral Museum, and will encompass 120,000 square feet. In addition to family-friendly galleries, Tellus will feature a 120-seat digital planetarium and an observatory. The museum's total development cost is $20 million.

Urdang, a unit of BNY Mellon Asset Management, has announced the $48 million sale of two business centers in suburban Atlanta to CCI-B Marietta L.L.C., a partnership formed by Capital Commercial Investments Inc. The properties total nearly 14 buildings on 48 acres and comprise 620,000 square feet of office, medical, retail and warehouse space.
