Esopus Creek Value L.P., a shareholder that owns approximately 3.76 percent of Syms Corp., has announced that it sent a letter to the Syms Corp. demanding they disclose the development intentions for 42 Trinity Place in Lower Manhattan. Esopus stated in the letter that Syms Corp. filed an executed zoning lot development agreement with the City of New York and declared its intention to develop the 42 Trinity location in conjunction with the developmental air rights it also purchased. Esopus further stated that the zoning lot development agreement has been in place for four months but the company has failed to disclose such agreement to its minority shareholders.
