General Motors’ Linden, N.J., Site to Be Developed
Feb 1, 2008

Duke Realty Corp. and Stockbridge Real Estate Fund L.P. of San Francisco, Calif., have announced today that they have formed an equal partnership to develop a former General Motors’ assembly plant in Linden, N.J. Stockbridge is an institutional investor in the project and Duke will act as the developer and oversee construction of the site. Last month, Duke was selected among 21 bidders to purchase the site, which includes approximately 100 acres of land and more than 2.7 million square feet of buildings. Initial plans call for razing the existing 70-year-old plant, remediating the site, and developing land into a new mixed-use retail and industrial project.
