BMW of North America has expanded its Woodcliff Lake, N.J., headquarters to the tune of $100 million, representing the automaker's largest U.S. investment since the inception of its U.S. subsidiary 33 years ago with the exception of a South Carolina plant.
The new facilities will house BMW Group's national training center, eastern sales region, and U.S. engineering operations. The expanded campus will have 1,000 BMW employees. The firm has also recently announced plans to expand the Spartanburg, S.C. plant by 50 percent, a task that should be complete by 2012.
