Urstadt Biddle Takes Position in Newark, New Jersey, Shopping Center

Urstadt Biddle Properties Inc. has announced that it has acquired a 60 percent interest in a newly formed limited partnership that purchased the Ferry Plaza Shopping Center in Newark, N.J. An affiliate of UBP is the sole general partner of the new partnership that owns the property. The shopping center, valued at $26 million. The property was acquired from a group of investors who originally developed it in 1995. Ferry Plaza consists of a 100,000-square-foot shopping center anchored by a Pathmark Supermarket.
