Colliers Houston Appointed Sales Agent for Norwich Research, Development Center

Colliers Houston & Co. has been appointed the exclusive sales agent for Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals Woods Corners Technical Center, a 335,000-square-foot research and development campus located at 147 State Highway 320 in Norwich, N.Y. Situated on 88 acres, this campus includes four main buildings and numerous supporting buildings featuring research and development space, training facilities, pilot plant development and storage. The campus has convenient access to New York State Routes 12 and 320, Interstates 81, 88 and 90, Lt. Warren Eaton Airport and Binghamton Airport. Amenities include two videoconference suites, chemical development laboratories, purified water, electronic security and guardhouse, cafeteria, library, an updated sprinkler system and a 37,400-square-foot parking lot.

It's an office trade of such a size that has not been seen in Connecticut, no less challenged by job losses and economic malaise than most other markets, in quite a while. Matrix Connecticut L.L.C. has just taken over ownership of the 1 million-square-foot Danbury Corporate Center in Danbury, Conn., from GERA Danbury L.L.C. in a $72.4 million merger transaction. The deal is a coup for Connecticut, as well as its neighbors, as it marks the largest multi-tenant office transaction in the suburban New York Tri-State area so far this year.
