The Boston mayor's vision of a thousand-foot tower in the city's downtown has been dashed by the FAA, which ruled that the tower must shrink in order for aircraft to fly in and out of the Boston airport safely and without obstruction.
The FAA is now analyzing exactly how tall the tower can rise without possibly obstructing aircraft, the Boston Globe reported. "We are working with the city and the appropriate agencies within the FAA to address these issues," the tower's developer, Trans National Properties, told the Globe.
