The Kansas subsidiary of Mohegan Resorts L.L.C. has announced that it has acquired the interest held by Olympia Gaming-KC L.L.C. in Leg Sun L.L.C. for the development of a state-owned gaming facility and destination resort named Legends Sun in Wyandotte County, Kans. The buyer now holds a two-thirds interest in Leg Sun with the remaining third held by RED Leg Sun L.L.C., an affiliate of RED Development L.L.C., located in Kansas City, Mo. The proposed $770 million Legends Sun complex would feature a casino with approximately 2,000 slot machines, 60 table games and 25 poker tables, a golf course, a 350-room hotel, a convention and conference facility, approximately 200,000 square feet of mixed-use retail and approximately 200,000 square feet of residential development.
