Beaumont Hospitals to Add 346,000SF to Royal Oak Campus in Detroit

Beaumont Hospitals is planning a $204 million 346,000-square-foot expansion at its Royal Oak campus in Detroit that will include an expanded emergency room with more than 170 private patient rooms replacing curtained cubicles, Detroit News reported. The North Pavilion will be constructed on the front lawn of the main complex at 13 Mile. The facility will also house a 36-bed intensive care unit and four operating rooms. The construction is set to beging later this year with completion scheduled for 2011.
