Detroit Casino Completes 25,000-SF Expansion
Aug 29, 2008

Greektown Casino in Detroit has taken another step in its $500 million permanent development endeavor with the completion of a 25,000-square-foot addition to its gaming space. The expansion, leaving the eight-year-old property with an aggregate 100,000 square feet of gaming space, is part of the Greektown project's second phase, which also includes the construction of a new 400-room hotel. The 30-story hotel, which will also feature a fitness center and convention space, topped off in July and is on schedule to deliver in early 2009. Additional construction activities still underway include two new lounges and a new restaurant. Phase one of the permanent development project concluded last year with the debut of a new attached parking facility.
