The Annapolis, Md.-based Thayer Lodging Group has purchased the Hyatt Hotel Washington Dulles International Airport from Ashford Hospitality Trust at a sale price of $78 million. The recently renovated 316-suite property marks Thayer's first Hyatt brand purchase.
In 2005, the Hyatt underwent a $5 million renovation and was purchased by Dallas-based Ashford for $72.5 million from then-owner Dulles Airport Hotel LLC. Ashford is currently selling as much as $2 billion worth of its hotel stock, according to the Washington Business Journal.
