The nearly 1.3 million-square-foot Comcast Center has just recently opened its doors with an estimated completion price tag of $850 million. Developed and owned by Liberty/Commerz 1701 JFK Boulevard L.P.--a joint venture involving Liberty Property Trust and Commerz Leasing und Immobilien--the 58-story skyscraper holds the distinction of being not only the tallest and greenest office building in Philadelphia, Pa., but the tallest green office building in the country, as well. Comcast is the lead tenant at the Robert A.M. Stern Architects-designed property, occupying 90 percent of the space. Other tenants on the roster include the Judge Group and Citizen's Bank, which will occupy 50,000 square feet of office space, as well as a portion of the plaza-level retail space. Additional retail occupants include Godiva Chocolatier and Table 31 Steakhouse Bistro. L.F. Driscoll Co. served as the contractor on the development, while Binswanger handled leasing.
