Cable and Wireless Jamaica to Sell Some Commercial Properties

The Cable and Wireless Jamaica Pension Fund, one of Jamaica’s largest pension funds, has put four of its commercial properties on the block in a move described as a restructuring of assets, the fund has reported.  The properties for sale are both office and retail types. The Towers is an office complex in the New Kingston business district and consists of two towers with a total building area of 112,850 square feet. Cinema Lands–also located in New Kingston, includes 7.6 acres, the last remaining undeveloped land in Kingston. New Kingston Shopping Centre, which is in the New Kingston business district, is a mixed-use center with both retail and offices. It sits 2.3 acres with a total building size (including basement) of 175,900 square feet. Fairview Shopping Centre, in Montego Bay, is tenanted by many established businesses mainly in the retail sector. The center houses four buildings with a total area of 101,000 square feet on 6 acres.
