Playing India's Commercial Real Estate Boom: A How-To Guide

Indian real estate is booming -- and a column on TheStreet.com points out ways that investors can take advantage of this upside. Commercial real estate demand in India is being driven by the information-technology and information-technology services sectors, which are expected to grow exponentially in the coming years.

What does this mean to investors? Office space for these purposes should be buoyant for some time to come. Additionally, the financial-services sector in India continues to grow, meaning that office space for that purpose will be needed for at least the forseeable future.

Behringer Harvard continues to expand its presence in Central Europe. The company has acquired seven additional assets--a retail property in Hungary, five retail properties in the Czech Republic and a Czech logistics facility--via Wenceslas Behringer Ltd., a joint venture between Behringer Harvard Opportunity REIT I Inc. and St. Wenceslas Property Fund, which was formed in July.
