BAE Plans 81-Acre Industrial Property Purchase in Sterling

BAE Systems has entered into an option with TRW Automotive to buy the former TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. plant in Sterling Heights, about 20 miles from Detroit, Mich. The industrial facility carries the address of 34201 Van Dyke Road and occupies 81 acres of land. BAE identified the property for a new facility that would be developed as part of the company's expansion of its Land & Armaments operating group, a $58 million endeavor. BAE is in the process of conducting due diligence.
