Maxxam Expands Los Angeles Fashion District with New Projects

Maxxam Enterprises is leading a redevelopment campaign in Los Angeles’ fashion district with five new projects totaling more than 200,000 square feet in various stages of development, the company announced today.  

The firm announces the opening of its latest project, 1025 Towne Center, a 50,000-square-foot wholesale complex located on Towne Avenue between 12th and 10th Streets. The property, formerly a two-story warehouse and manufacturing facility, was acquired by Maxxam in March 2005. The 1025 Towne Center revamp included the addition of parking ramps and an elevator to service window-lined offices on the second level, while the ground floor was subdivided into 14 boutique-like wholesale storefronts.  

Another project is Crocker Fashion Plaza Phase II, which is scheduled for completion in the summer and will comprise of 18 ground-floor showrooms situated beneath 21,000 square feet of office space on three separate levels.    

Recently completed, the 777 12th Street 60,000-square-foot wholesale center is located at 12th and Towne Avenue. The development provides space for stores and showrooms of wholesale women’s fashions and apparel on its ground and mezzanine levels. The building also offers abundant parking.  


Formerly a 2-story manufacturing facility, Maxxam converted the 1160 Crocker Fashion Plaza into ten distinct wholesale storefronts along the Ducasse Alley and constructed a new façade.   This 18,000-square-foot-project is now 100 percent occupied.



Newly constructed , the 12th Street Fashion Plaza is a 42,000-square-foot wholesale and office mixed-use center located on the corner of 12th Street and Crocker Street.  “We are very proud of this unique construction. The ground and mezzanine levels of the building are comprised of boutique stores specializing in women’s fashion and apparel, and the penthouse is home to the headquarters of Innovative Bank.
