The InterContinental Hotels Group is planning 19 new facilities for metropolitan Atlanta in the coming years, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The hotel group, which is based in London but has its U.S. base in Atlanta, says these plans will bring more than 1,000 to the metro Atlanta area.
The planned hotel projects include a Crowne Plaza in the Streets of Buckhead mega-development, as well as Hotel Indigos in downtown and College Park. Rumors that the company will open an InterContinental in Midtown have not been confirmed.
