Glimcher Sells Knox Village Square in Ohio

Glimcher Realty Trust has reported the closing of the sale of Knox Village Square in Mount Vernon, Ohio WP Realty Inc. This community center was sold for approximatly $10 million as part of the company's disposition program of its non-strategic assets. The proceeds were used to pay down short-term borrowings under the company's line of credit.

Chicago-based General Growth Properties Inc. has wrapped up the initial phase of a new secured mortgage loan facility that is expected to total $1.75 billion. The retail REIT pocketed $875 million with the closing of the first segment of the loan.
