Silver State Bancorp Takes Loss

Silver State Bancorp. has been hit by the bad real estate markets in Nevada and Arizona, according to a report in The Business Journal of Phoenix. It closed its deal to buy Choice Bank with its Valley branches in April. It plans to open new branches in Ahwatukee, Tolleson and Mesa in 2008. In 2009, plans call for ones to open in Fountain Hills, Chandler, north Phoenix and Peoria.
