CBRE Promotes 2 to VP

CB Richard Ellis has promoted Steven Robinson, in the Retail Services Group and Roshan Shah, in the company’s Global Brokerage Services Group, to vice president in its New York City office.  They were previously senior associates. Robinson conducts retail transactions representing tenants and landlords, with some work in investment sales.  Most recently he represented Exhale Mind/Body Spa in relocating the executive management team’s corporate offices to 250 West 57th Street.  In his three years with CBRE, Shah has advised several large and boutique financial services firms, with an emphasis on evaluating and implementing strategic real estate plans for hedge funds and private equity firms. Most recently, he negotiated Bank of Baroda’s 20-year, 11,000-square-foot renewal at 1 Park Avenue.

CarrAmerica Heavy Hitter Scruggs Heads to Transwestern
After a highly successful 11-year stint as vice president of leasing at CarrAmerica Realty Corp. in Austin, real estate industry veteran Roy Scruggs has left the company and made his way to Transwestern as senior vice president. His departure has brought the closing of the leasing division of the Austin office two years after CarrAmerica had been snapped up by affiliates of The Blackstone Group in a $5.6 billion deal.
