Three Principals Form Hall Real Estate Capital, Company Names 4 New Vice Presidents

Hall Financial Group announced the formation of Hall Real Estate Capital L.L.C., which will consult on, sponsor and offer high quality real estate related investment opportunities to individual and institutional investors. The company anticipates offering private placements to investors involving individual real estate projects as well as raising capital for other opportunistic real estate related activities. HREC is founded by three principals: Craig Hall, chairman of Hall Financial Group, Herb Weitzman, chairman of The Weitzman Group/Cencor Realty Services, and Donna Arp, former CEO of Realty Capital Partners L.L.C, who will also head the company as chief executive officer.


Hall Real Estate Capital also said today that Kay Casey, Bill Dennis and Debbie Rosen have been hired as vice presidents of Capital Markets. In addition, Mark Blocher has been promoted from within the Hall family of companies to HREC¹s vice president of investor services.

President-elect Barack Obama has picked Mary Schapiro to chair the Securities and Exchange Commission. Schaprio was a member of the SEC from 1988 to 1994--originally appointed by President Reagan--and is currently CEO of the non-governmental Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, a post she has held for about two years. She also chaired of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission for two years during the Clinton administration.
