Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers Hires Managing Director, 2 Vice Presidents

Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers has added three new brokers to its Washington, D.C. Landlord Representation Leasing team.  Bobby Schwartz has joined the company as managing director and Eli Barnes and Will Stern have both joined as vice president.   These office leasing professionals come to Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers from Jones Lang LaSalle.

 
Schwartz has over 22 years of experience representing Washington, D.C. office landlords.  Most recently, he was managing director of leasing at Jones Lang LaSalle.  Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle in 2001, he spent 15 years as a broker at Cushman & Wakefield.   

Barnes joined Jones Lang LaSalle in 2004 and most recently held the position of vice president.  Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, he worked in client development and mutual fund research and analysis with Tracy Driscoll Insurance and Financial Services, and as a market manager for the Connecticut and Rhode Island markets of Long Trail Brewing Co.  
 

Stern joined Jones Lang LaSalle in 2004 and also most recently served as vice president.  His experience at Jones Lang LaSalle includes working for the company’s National Offices Team in London, England.  Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Stern worked at Northwestern Investment Management, where he was responsible for financial and real estate modeling, as well as mullti-year cash flow forecasts and property budgets.

New SEC Head Faces Tough Tasks
President-elect Barack Obama has picked Mary Schapiro to chair the Securities and Exchange Commission. Schaprio was a member of the SEC from 1988 to 1994--originally appointed by President Reagan--and is currently CEO of the non-governmental Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, a post she has held for about two years. She also chaired of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission for two years during the Clinton administration.
