Continuing the expansion of its Global Multi-Manager business, CB Richard Ellis Investors has appointed three new senior managers, two in London and one in Boston.

Established in 2006, the GMM manages segregated accounts and three funds of funds investing in unlisted property funds, with $5 billion of assets under management, and a client base that has been predominantly European.

A CBRE spokesperson told CPN that all three positions are new ones.

In London, Ian Gleeson joins CBRE Investors as chief investment officer, with overall investment responsibility for the GMM investment programs. He has more than 15 years of industry experience and was previously head of International Property Multi-Manager at Morley Fund Management and head of property at the National Pensions Reserve Fund of Ireland. Gleeson is also an active member of INREV, the industry organization for indirect real estate investment, where he has served as chairman of the Investor Platform and member of the INREV Management Board and is currently a member of the INREV working group reviewing investment style definitions.

Also in London, Stuart Savidge is joining GMM as finance director. Most recently he was finance director for Prestbury Investment Holdings Ltd., a U.K. real estate operator and fund manager. Prior to that position, Savidge led the finance team of the European real estate group at JP Morgan Asset Management and was financial controller with Apollo Real Estate Advisors.

Finally, Scott Brown, CFA, will be GMM’s new managing director, Americas, based in Boston. He will be responsible both for developing the investor client base in the region and for GMM’s investments in the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America. Brown was formerly a principal and head of global real estate at Ennis Knupp + Associates in Chicago, where he established the real estate practice and advised on $18 billion of real estate investments. He formerly chaired the performance measurement committee of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries and is currently a voting member of that group’s REIS Council. In addition, Brown is a member of the Research Committee at the Pension Real Estate Association and is currently the co-chair of the CFA Institute’s IPC, GIPS Real Estate Update Sub-committee.

These appointments follow the recruitment last year of Adrian Baker as managing director, Asia and Alex Crossing, both based in Singapore, and the addition of Schalk Visser last month to CBRE Investors’ Investor Services team in London.
